چکیده
Background: Traditional polyethylene film mulching is widely used in the Loess Plateau region of China to improve crop yields. However, whether long-term can continue ensure yield under future climate change conditions questionable. First, we conducted a four-year field experiment calibrate and validate biogeochemical DeNitrification–DeComposition (DNDC) model. Then, based on calibrated validated model, evaluated spring maize water use efficiency different methods (no mulching, traditional biodegradable mulching) region. Results: The temperature rainfall are predicted increase (2021–2100) four scenarios due higher CO2 concentrations. Through 252 simulation results, found that will have positive impacts no degradable conditions. be greater with but future, reduce Additionally, reduction greater. A sensitivity analysis indicated major effect yield, rainfall. As increases, differences between ordinary plastic become smaller. In later period warmer wetter SSP585 scenario, than mulching. Conclusion: It seen more adaptable future.

Spring maize yield, soil water use and water use efficiency under plastic film and straw mulches in the Loess Plateau
To compare the soil water balance, yield and water use efficiency (WUE) of spring maize under different mulching types in the Loess Plateau, a 7-year field experiment was conducted in the Changwu region of the Loess Plateau. Three treatments were used in this experiment: straw mulch (SM), plastic film mulch (PM) and conventional covering without mulch (CK). Results show that the soil water chan...

متن کاملPlastic-film mulching and urea types affect soil CO2 emissions and grain yield in spring maize on the Loess Plateau, China
A 2-year field experiment was conducted on maize (Zea mays L.) to explore effective ways to decrease soil CO2 emissions and increase grain yield. Treatments established were: (1) no mulching with urea, (2) no mulching with controlled release fertiliser (CRF), (3) transparent plastic-film mulching (PMt) with urea, (4) PMt with CRF, (5) black plastic-film mulching (PMb) with urea, and (6) PMb wit...
متن کاملThe Impact of Climate Change on Yield Potential of Maize across China
Maize is one of the major crops in China and its yield potential has been changedsignificantly by climate change induction during last five decades. The national policy of maizeproduction sufficiency emphasizes the necessity for a more accurate estimation of yieldpotential of maize at a national level. In this paper yield potential of maize was calculated usingthe Global Agro-Ecological Zones (...
متن کاملAssessing the Impact of Climate Change on Soil water Balance in the Loess Plateau of China
Soil water balance has response to climate change and evaluation of soil water change is one of the most important items of climate change impact assessment. GCM outputs under three scenarios were statistically downscaled during 2010~2039 to simulate the potential change of soil water balance in Wangdonggou watershed on the Loess Plateau with WEPP model. GCM predicted a 1.8 to 17.5% increase in...
